Learn the nuances of nutrition to create a blueprint for lasting success.
From over a decade of experience, I will guide you to transform your body and be who you want to be.
It all starts here…
This is not a one-size-fits-all training plan for the masses. I work with a small number of clients on every aspect of their training and nutrition.
I genuinely want to understand your likes, dislikes, goals, forgotten dreams and ambitions for your fitness, and then teach you how to fuel your workouts so you can continue for years to come.
Your transformation starts here: sign up to my email list for free guides, training tips and nutritional advice.
It’s the perfect way to see if we’ll make a great partnership.
About me
I’m Ruari (the Gaelic version of Rory). For over 10 years, my training has been focused on achieving a balance between:
Maintaining a lean, functional and athletic physique
Improving flexibility
Developing explosive power for any type of sport
Mastering my body’s movement in space by combining hypertrophy training with calisthenic practices
Experimenting with different macronutrient splits to biohack my way to more energy for training and everyday life
I have also worked as a chef in every type of restaurant you could imagine, and started a food business. I’ve seen and learnt how the industry makes food taste good, with little regard for your macros. Through this, I’ve experimented with every type of recipe and learnt how to use different ingredients to achieve the same great-tasting results, whilst making food more macro-friendly.
If you share a similar mindset but have yet to reach your ideal physique, want to take control of your macros and your nutrition, you’re in the right place and I’m probably the coach for you.
I created this site as a response to the ‘cut and paste’ online fitness programmes and meal plans that prescribe exact quantities of food you should eat every day.
I'll coach you, but I’ll also teach you to do it yourself.
I’ve had several coaches in the past for when I competed in ‘Men’s Physique’ shows.
By that time I had already learnt so much and got myself below 10% body fat for most of the year. I was baffled why so-called professionals were so rigid with their approach to nutrition and training, when I had already proven that a more adaptable strategy could lead to the same results.
I want to share all of this and more with you. With a background as a chef alongside personal training, I have a deep, research-based understanding of nutrition for performance, but more importantly, for enjoyment and adherence. I will never prescribe 6 meals a day and chicken, broccoli and rice (unless you really love that) because there are so many more enjoyable ways to get the nutrients your body needs, giving you the positive mental attitude to crush your workouts.
Balance is a principal concept in my approach, both in training and nutrition. You’ll learn new ways to push your body, and no food is off the menu. A good diet is not a clean one. A good diet is one that you can replicate over days, weeks, months and years.
